Hi, I'm Kevin Walsh, founder and owner of KC Builders, the general contracting business I started in 1987 out of my home in Mt. Morris, NY. I’ve been a contractor for 24 years.

HISTORY: After graduating from Monroe Community College in 1977 with an associate's degree in Retail and Business Management, I worked with several different contractors for seven years. This gave me a chance to hone my management, business and personal skills while learning my craft.

The first year I was in business I mostly did jobs in the Mt. Morris and Rochester area, but I’ve expanded my business substantially since then, including many out-of-state jobs over the years. In the fall of 1993, I built a house in Swain, NY with the intention of using it for the winter only. However, my family and I enjoyed living in Swain so much, we decided to live there year-round in the Spring of 1994. I continued to run my business out of my house in Mt. Morris, until we sold it in 2000. I then started to run my business out of my home in Swain, and have been doing so ever since.

MISSION: I built my business on the policy that I would do “one job at a time.” Not only can I concentrate on the current job without worrying about other overlapping jobs, but also the stress-level is greatly reduced for my customers, and me.

HOBBIES: When I'm not working, I enjoy kayaking, coaching the Alfred University Alpine Ski Racing Teams, walking our two chocolate labs, Jeter and Seamus, and spending time with my beautiful granddaughters, my children, Conor & Katie, and my wife, Anne.
